Hello people... I know this game isn't listed on the site but I figured I'd try and get some help anyways. I was playing Flashback and then got the urge to bring out my old Fade 2 Black cd-rom.

Install works fine on xp... except for one thing.. I can't configure a midi soundcard. It finds my soundblaster card fine for the soundfx but not for midi.

Luckily F2B can be run on an nt platform with a simple -w added after the .bat... however... I can't get the game to run any cutscenes... No music and no cut-scenes combined just makes me not wanna play.

I've tried running the bat in different compatability modes (I haven't tried dosbox since my computer is too slow to run it properly). I've also tried vdms... Anyone got any ideas?

I've looked around the web but can't find any xp guides for the game.

If you try VDMSound be sure to load it with the setup program so it can find your sound card properly. Not only with the main program.
