![]() It might be more fun if I was to run it in dosbox, as the window scrolling just zaps down the page.
Otherwise, I've done a few of the puzzles, I have the world one and the bird one in progress. It's damn hard to find the last couple of words. I also did the one with the shapes in the rectangle, that one was easy. The strength one I figured out by the colour around the border on what goes where. The thing that held me up on that one was the bottom eyes, but got it done. I hated that one where you had to click the numbers, it was the first one I did, but I eventually saw that the status bar changed to what number you needed to click next, so it made the last ~30 or so easier to do. I havn't figured out the wheel of fortune one though, what cards are worth what? The old man keeps getting ~100-200 points per win, and when I did, something like 40. Anyhoo, definately something different to play, even though most of the time I have no idea and just try the puzzles anyway. ________ M52 Last edited by MV75; 05-05-2011 at 09:07 AM. |

![]() This game is really addictive!
I was up until 4 am last night doing puzzles... went to bed, woke up and got back to work. I'm currently basking in the satisfaction of beating the game. Woo-hoo! Regarding the Wheel of Fortune: bear in mind that the other side cannot see the card at the bottom right. So you ideally want to get pairs with that card. The best combos I got were High Pair: Magician and Fool (maybe sun?) Dark Pair: Death, Devil, and High Priestess Astral Pair: Sun, Star, Moon, and Earth Other than that, just pick cards that seem like they go together, e.g. Emperor and Empress. Good luck! |

![]() Best combos I got:
Astral Triplet, Luck Triplet, and Dark Triplet Ideally, you want to get triplets, as it gives you 99 points, but that's rough. What to focus on is the type of pair you can get, if you can't get a triplet. Check the card you can see from the Old Man's deck. If you can choose a card that gives you a higher ranked pair, choose it. It won't always work, but I can win almost every time. Another method... if you have a strong pair in your deck already, and can't get a triplet, you can also block the Old Man from getting a pair or a triplet if there's a card that will pair his open card by selecting that. It surely is addictive, isn't it? |

![]() The creator-Cliff Johnson- is making a sequel that's due out in July. You can check out his website at http://www.fools-errand.com.
There's another game along similar lines called "Are We There Yet?" that you might like. |

![]() Good to know...
And oh, right... If you don't know much about Tarot, the Wheel of Fortune game might be pretty tough, I just didn't make the connection in my previous reply... Basically, pairs and triplets are formed by having cards in your hand that have like attributes. Examples: Astral: Moon, World, Star Dark: Devil, Death, High Priestess Luck: Fool, Wheel of Fortune, Lovers, Tower Justice: Heirophant, Temperance, Justice Just play around until you figure out which cards go together. There's also Royal, Mortal, High, and Low If you both have pairs/triplets , then the more powerful set of pairs/triplets wins the hand. You'll have to play around until you figure out which sets are higher. Dark and Astral are pretty high, but some of the "lower" sets can beat them. It's sort of like Rock/Paper/Scissors. |

![]() This is one of the best games Ive played in a loooooong time! I do have a question tho...
On the puzzles when you have to look for clues in the picture to find the right letters, (such as The Stone Wall) Im not sure I understand what Im looking for. Maybe Im just being thick, but one of them (I forget which now, doesn't have any letters on the screen! I dont want the answers, but a nudge in the right direction would be much appreciated! Many thanx, Eden |

![]() @Eden: The hidden letters are in a very logical location.
You'll smack yourself in the forehead when you find them |
