hey folks,

the Ethanol (drinking alcohol?) C2H5OH has been going around the world and even moved into eastern and central Europe ....

I stopped drinking (liquor) and I hope that they'll get something done about it .....


but I am not panicing now .... what about you ?

BTW, before you brand this topic of spam, I'd like to poit out that it does have a purpose (beyond being a parody of H5N1), it deals with the issue of alcoholism, which was and is a problem (for example my grandfathers death was largely due to this condition). and I do infact not drink alcohol.

no, usualy one would water it down, howerever there are people who would drink it in quite high concentrations (over 95%). the problem however doesn't become much smaller if you decrese dosage to 600 ml or even 400 ml per liter. in fact that's waht most alcoholics drink.

Ethanol is sold for medical applications, but i remember that some years ago in a party that some friends and me made to get some money, when then vodka was a mixture of water + ethanol.... a guy get an alcoholic coma in that party, but can u enligh us more about C2H5OH?

Alchohol has been proven to reduce stress in the average person when taken in small amounts. Technically, it is a good thing, so therefore you can have too much of it.

I heard of some governments adding quite a harmful (non lethal) toxin into metholated spirits because it was being abuse as a very cheap alchohol... the problem was people didn't didn't quite know how powerful the stuff was.

So now its officially toxic and will make you very sic before you drink enough of it to kill you.
