Thanks Velik m for the links

Im just looking at the widelands game now.
It wasnt that I thought S3 & S4 were rubbish (i played them quite a bit) but it didnt have the same feel as the first two; the world seemed to get smaller, the game quicker and the game strategies less complex. Like i said in the origional post, i hoped the game would get bigger maps and more players, maybe so ud have to set up towns and set up trade routs with other nations for scarce resources, make alliances etc, also a more in depth look at what goods needed to be made to run a medieval economy. For example the brewer makes beer, but who makes the barrels and the pintpots to drink it from or nails for buildings as another example. This simplicity was good as a 14 year old 10 years ago, but now Im looking for something thats going to go a little deeper.
Any ways enough of my ramblings, good luck to the widelands team

with their project I look forward to seeing this completed work in progress!!
Cheers
