The 3 stand-outs for me:
The Championship Manager/Football Manager series for addictiveness ("Just one more game, and then I'll eat something..."). Grand Prix 2, for being ground breaking at the time, and still extremely playable today. Although the keyboard configuration causes joint pain. Rise of the Triad, for playability and depth: Around 60 pre-existing levels, + "Random" Level generator, + Level editor. Honourable mentions are too many to count. |
