i think later versions had a lot of bugs fixed and it wont' work s,ow at all on that computer (remember it had 16MB RAM as recomended, so even 32 runs it swell). just make sure you get some version like SE or SP2 :-) dont' know how it was called for 95...

I've been on the first release -(yes I'm old :/)-, and it was close to hell on the workspace.

Also used later the so called OSR2, that is the one you should use, that was a real improvement towards the first release.
W95-OSR2 will run fine on 40MB RAM.
