If you give her type A, it will increase her morals every month, BUT also her stresslevel will go up by 2 points every end of the month... If you give her type B, will make her stresslevel go down by 2 points every end of the month.... So you can have a happy smiling daughter, aaaaaaaaaaawww!!

I personally like to use dolls in the early game as stress reduction, along with lots of farm and church work, in lieu of free time. My reasoning's as follows (this is assuming you're trying for a high-ranking position such as Hero, Princess of Darkness or Bondage Queen, or another path that requires resource management): 1. The first year, hoarding money is necessary, though using it is not so important. You need to be ready to get her an education so by 12 at the oldest (usually while she's 11) she begins adventuring, which is the only way to go if you want lots and lots of cash (one trip into the desert, fighting skeletons at the Hell Hole, can net up to about 5000 gold). Therefore, a doll's selling price is effectively hoarded cash. 2. You need to farm to build constitution, which is probably the most important attribute in the game (affecting HP, physical resistance to stress, and Dancing), as well as Strength and cash to boot. Church work is also necessary to resist stress. This, of course, takes time. 3. Therefore, it's normally better to spend that week you would have spent in town on farming, and doll yourself up to keep stress down. First October, you can sell some dolls and use the Harvest Festival to rest down that stress. Some math to back this up. One tenday ("week" from now on) of farming, assuming no screwups (and if she screws up a farm job, either she's starting weak or you're doing something wrong): 8.5 days times 15g: 127.5g, 25.5 stress gained. One doll: Selling price 60g-buying price 120g=-60g, -40 stress. One week free time (no money involved yet): -50 stress. So a week of farming can effectively pay for two dolls, reducing stress by 64.5, which is more than a week without pocket money. Free Time Pocket Money: -100g, -50 stress. Compare this to just buying a doll with that money instead: -60g for -40 stress. "But isn't this just saving a huge stressload for later?" No, it isn't, assuming you develop a bit of sensitivity (and you must develop sensitivity to maximize efficiency later, anyway). Sell all the dolls at once, while carrying a terrible burden of 200 stress or so (as high as you can get without delinquency or sickness), then take a trip to the lake for cooking lessons in the first week. Voila, all the stress is quickly gotten rid of. |

![]() And, I get to revise my opinion on a lot of my advice. In particular, for those who are going all the way for Queen, early money is more valuable than late money. The reason, of course, is the Chinese Orc, who seems to come early rather than late, and provides goods otherwise unattainable except through Mad Eddy, most importantly the Demon Pendant. (Extra Magic Attack+100 Refinement and Charisma=tasty.)
This doesn't rule out dolls, of course: they're certainly better than pocket money. What it means is that dolls no longer really count as stored money, so farming is no longer the way to stress relief: that honor belongs to free time again. |

![]() A lot of time ago, a friend of mine talk to me about this game and showed it to me. At first I thought it was some kind of girly game, and something like a pervert tamagochi. But boy, we get hooked really fast to the game.
Some time later, I found this game and downloaded it, and I played it a lot of times, and my daughters where a lot of thing, from beatifull bride to general, and a lot of the magician endings. I loved the game. Then one day a lost a lot of CDs to the sun, and in one of them was my back-up with the game. I searched for it, but no luck. And the last week I reached this site looking for the DOS version of Colonization, and browsing the list of games I found it. I couldn't believe it and I downloaded it, and againg I was playing it almost non stop. And the second daughter I raise, becomes something of a deception. I don't get it: I made her take a lot of fighting (and fencing) classes, she worked as a lumberjack a lot, she had 500 and something of fighter reputation, she taked part of the combat tournament at every harvest festival (and she won them all since 14 or 15, I don't remember it correctly), SHE DEFEATED THE WAR GOD, FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! But no, still she became an artist. I really really don't understand. I believe that filthy art professor has the fault, she always looked at her in a dirty way. I think I will have a little "talk" with that guy... :karate: I have nothing against the artist class, but I raised her as an adventurer, prificient with magic but above all thing a warrior. And she became an artist. Well, at least she didn't became a lowlife. Yeah, this game is good, really really good. And I thank to the guy (or gal) responsible for this game to be available on this site, for letting me have this wonderfull game again. By the way, How can I make her marry with Cube or me? I read it here that is possible, but I don't know how. I always ended with something of a poor relationship with her (she doesn't hate me, just that the final score never goes above 20-30 for neither of us. And I always talk to her and that). And If you don't know if download this game and are reading this, I tell you: download it, you won't regret it. P.S.: BTW, I am not a native english speaker. Please, forgive my bad grammar and spelling. |

![]() Use the Beta Shop?
It gives you a setup that will -do- it, but the beta shop requirements are but one possible set of variables. I've never managed to get it through my own efforts, I think that's because you usually get the best marriage you can, and father-daughter is not as good as a knight, say, let alone the Prince. Anyone know a pattern that will get you Cube or Father marriage? |

![]() Just care as much for your daughter, and don't let her work as much, but a little, like in the church. That requires that you have enough money available, so it's a hard way. Talk with your daughter daily, always buy her dolls or other things for birthday, and not only then but also at some days. Spend often holidays with her, those that are more fitting to the time of the year, and let her more free time.
In other words, indulge her and fill her time with your presence, but don't be too allowing to her, either. It's still hard to make her to start to love you, you would need to be not too old but more to her age, and the birthdays play a role too, the horoscopical fitting. But you'll surely find the thin right line |

If your daughter loses from one of the "bandits" (there is one in the mountains, lake and plains), there is a chance he'll try to rape her. In that case, Cube comes and saves your daughter. Each time he does this, the cube/daughter relationship raises tremendously. Do it a few times for a guaranteed cube/daughter marriage. The positions of the bandits are: Plains - inside the ring of stones, near the end of the area (keep jumping in and out of the whole that leads to the slim milk) Lake - walk around the big flower Mountains - Try going to the house where they say "there is no one here" To get the lake bandit, you must defeat the plains bandit, and to get the mountain bandit, you must defeat the lake bandit. I think. |

If you don't want to lose to bandits, or it's so late in the game and you're so strong that you can't anymore, this is what I did: I can't remember if it took two whole months or not. I didn't really care about the lost time because I was only trying to have her marry cube. But yeah: Make sure you have at least two different weapons. Then, slate her for nothing but adventuring for two months. As soon as she starts the adventure, have her camp and equip. Pick the weapon that you don't have on you, then rest. Cube will bring it and your daughter will think that's so nice of him. Then camp again, and equip the other sword. Repeat until you have to go home. It's tedious, but every time he brings you a weapon, your relationship goes up with him by a couple of points (never sure where it was between 1 and 5). Other ways in general fall for Cube is losing to anyone on adventuring (though, yes, bandits make the score go way up), being sick and having him take care of you... and I think MAYBE being supervised by him when your daugther is a deliquent. Not sure on that one, though. To Gain relationship with father: Vacations! Talking every month. Scolding IF she's delinquent. Always buying her birthday presents. I think these things make your relationship go down: Letting her have free time at the end of the month (rather than in the middle of the month, or a vacation), Her running away (and possibly being a delinquent too long). And I think I've also noticed that if you make her participate in a festival that isn't with her rival, your relationship goes down a little as well. However, yeah, I've never had them marry. So, I think that your daughter being too awesome keeps her from marrying you. The two times I ended with a 100 relationship with her (and heard constant comments from her like "I want to marry you when I grow up"), she was a Warrior Hero, and then a Ruling Queen, and she married a genius knight both times. Quote:
1. You won the art contest at least once, and still have the Master Brush(es). I'm not exactly sure how the game decides your daughter's future, but I think it has to do with the highest stat she has, or maybe the highest stat she has in her best reputation. If you happen to have her saved right before you schedule her, or near that time, if you pawn her paint brush, maybe her ending will be different. 2. You visited the art faeries in the woods a little too much. If that's the case, then her art may be too high to do anything about. Does anyone else know if her job is decided by her highest stat, or if it's her highest stat in her best reputation? If it's her highest stat in her best reputation, then what you'd need to do is get her social reputation lower than her fighting reputation. This can be done to some extent, even on her birthday. Have her talk to the Jester if you can. Make sure she's equipped with the very best weapons you have. Now... if you have the royal sword, you could sell it. She'll lose 30 social rep, but also 30 fighter rep. You can get back the figher rep by either cheating and buying Dragon Claws from Eddy's, or by going into town constantly and hoping random people challenge her. Ok, here is my question. I heard that you can become someone's mistress while she's still under 18 and he'll pay her every month for her "services." I thought this would be fun, so I put my girl with already 800+ Charisma in the sleazy bars and cabaret when she was 16. By the time she became 17, yes, she became someone's mistress. Then, in May of her last year (Her birthday was in October, so 7 months before she grew up), after working in the cabaret, some young guy approached her and asked if she wanted to go to dinner. She said yes, and it said they went off together or something, and then... you know those little icons that have like, her weapon, her armor, if she's sick and if she's delinquent? There's one more, and it's on the far right, and after she went to dinner with this guy, it turned into a heart and said "love." This icon stayed until the start of September (her second to last month). I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else, getting the little heart. And also, if it has, has it lasted anyone to the day where she did grow up, and if so, does it affect her marraige at all? All right. I've babbled long enough, me thinks. -Auri |
