Whoa, lots of different opinions on runescape.

I am a level 91 on runescape, I pay $8.50 a month for membership fees. I like runescape because of the sheer size of the userbase and the fact that you can't really cheat as such in it. Plus its also VERY soloable and a lot of the stuff you do is cinematic and there is lots of humor in it.

Having played everquest for about a year (I had a years gap in runescape in which I missed out on Easter ears and scythre), I would actually categorise runescape as being slightly better than everquest. First of all, everquest REQUIRES grouping, and camping monsters. Secondly, it encouraged RL money buying and trading for items over Ebay. Thirdly, its a NIGHTMARE.

Then about a year ago, I started playing Ultima Gateways, Really that game is worse than runescape. You have PURE pkers mobbing you in every town including Britan and Trinsic, then most of the noobies dont have a clue what they are doing.

Runescape, once you get past the free world, is a relatively nice place where you can talk about loads and loads of stuff with other people and not get flamed.

If you got scammed or hacked on runescape, I am sorry about that bad first impression.

The fee is different for PayByCash {paypal, etc.} and Credit Card.

Correct me if I'm wrong...but I think those are the prices.

In Canada, since i use Paypal I pay about $10 CAD a month.

msn is censored, for some reason.

MSN is censored because asking for personal details is asking the Jagex rules. For example, you can get banned from the game if you ask someone their name, address, email, etc. and also .com and stuff is censored because I guess Jagex wants you to play Runescape, not go on other websites.

Best fifteen bucks you will pay a month unless your talking about WOW which is the only thing that is better and thats by just a bit!

And runescape ripped some of the ideas off everquest like the kitesheilds have the same texture as one of the sheilds in EQ and the treetop village in EQ is a near copy of the gnome village in runescape. And EQ had it all first.

It's 14.99, but yeah WoW is the best MMORPG out right now. Sucks that you have to buy the expansion now. But anyway, Runescape has so few quests it is unbelievable. WoW has like 80 billion.
