Ok so, i see this forum hasnt been used in awhile but i hope people still monitor it from time to time... I am a huge fan of the gold box games, in particular the Krynn series. Anyways, the Cluebook link for Death Knights seems to be corrupted...

Well, not the link from here, but where the file is actually downloaded. It says the file wont download and so i can get all the Cluebooks except that one. Any chance someone might know where to get the Death Knights Cluebook for download?

I was able to get the cluebook with no problems....maybe a temporary server glitch? You might want to try again.

So, due to a large number of magic items found, I already have much more steel than I can cary. Any advice on a more convienient way to cary it around? I didn't see any place to buy gems in Gargath Outpost. Perhaps I should just cary around some of these bracers until I need the money.

I recommend fitting two mages into your party... one red and one either white or dark. And I think I remember always picking knights of the rose but I don't remember if it really matters... in the books, the Knights of the Rose are the highest order of knights. You want at least one knight, and one cleric. I can't remember what other classes I picked since it's been so long and I'm not sure if I'm mixing things up with the Forgotten Realms games or not.

Just getting started with Death Knights and having a directory issue.

i got the games in a C:\dosgames directory.
This has worked great for champions and its letting me save my characters in Dark Queen just fine.

But when I save a character I make in Death Knights it tells me it can't find the directory to save it into.
This is what the config file in Death Knights looks like. All 3 games are in the directory like this but i don't think Death Knights is liking it. It cannot find my files in the champions directory either.

Are you using DosBox to run the game? If so, when you mount C:\Dosgames as your emulated C:\ drive, all references to it will also change. In your case, that would be:
C:\dosgames\DKK\SAVE\ --> C:\DKK\SAVE\

C:\dosgames\COK\SAVE\ --> C:\COK\SAVE\

yeah i'm using DosBox .65

Champs, DKK and DQoK are all in my DosGames folder in C drive

thats why the config file is that way.

So I --> Mount c: c:\Dosgames
then I change it to C:
then I normally CD\dkk and run the start file and try to load it up
