Ok::::::drumroll::::::this is my list in no particular order:

Moulin Rouge.

I don't actually own a DVD player. My cousin bought me this title because she knew I liked the movie. I spend many entertaining hours staring at the front and back covers.
Hmmm..never saw moulin rogue. Any good..?

Moulin Rouge:
Well...
What they did is this:
They mixed La Traviata with the Can-Can and added popular songs (from many different types - from ballades, pop, rock...). What they got at the end is - well - this movie I watched - hated - and will never watch again (because I found nothing but an attempt of selling old stories under a new mask - which is BTW grotesque). If you really like experimental movies watch Dogville, if you like traditional musicals watch Singing in the Rain, if you like modern musicals watch The Wall, if you like the opera --> go to the opera!!!
Just don't watch Moulin Rouge, that might encourage them to make more such movies!

What?!? What blaspheme is this, Sebatianos? Moulin Rouge was sheer magic....and almost an all-Aussie production

EDIT:
I think you'd love it, Squalidangel!

All I remember of this George character was the intro song, I don't even remember the song, I just remember seeing George look into a lake or pond. I don't think I have ever even watched the show.
Enjoy

That was such a great answer, Sebatianos. I should have backed up with facts, at least so Squalid would know how great Moulin Rouge is. Let me just say Nicole Kidman at her most amazing and Ewan McGregor at his most - ahem - seductive. Then add chemistry, passion, brilliant dialogue, innovative use of music and
story and characters/acting that surpasses many other films I've seen. (Nicole was nominated for the Oscar and should have won it.)

But this 'nicest person on the forum' thingy is nice, but so untrue. It was started by Tom because he was trying to boost my self-esteem. I think he actually deserves the title, because he wears his fingers down to nubs trying to make everyone happy and feel good about themselves. You and Freddy also deserve it...oh, and many others...especially the poor guys I've got stuck into at one time or another and they've forgiven. I hope. Err, sorry this is turning into the Wendy Show.

EDIT: I think I've deleted your answer by mistake, Sebatianos. After posting a reply, I noticed your name was showing as the poster, so I deleted the message. Now your message has disappeared ???

If anyone, so Tom deserves it only. I'm not always that nice, you know. Usually, yes, but you wouldn't like to see me when I was younger, around 4-5 years ago...

Actually, you are wrong.

That was started by Kosta when he made the crew part for the site. He gave you the occupation - Nicest forum member.

The reason I have continued to call you this, is that I feel it is true. :Tom:

Here is Sebatianos' reply that was deleted (sorry, Seb)

Sebatianos:
Well it's always good if people can exchange opinions and mine is - I dislike Moulin Rouge. That's the reason why I would not recomend it to anyone. Ofcourse I must be able to know something to talk about (I did watch the movie) and found good sides to it too. The thing I enjoyed the most about it is that it brought back to life the almost forgoten song Nature Boy (which I really liked - especially the interpretation of Nat "KING" Cole). But the movie itself...
Well taste is a personal thing. There are some good points to the movie as well.
I also dislike the Sound of Music - although many consider it a great classic. It's just not my kind of thing. Others are ofcoure alowed to watch and if they enjoy the movie - good for them. I'm sure many would find some things I like watching laughable (like wrestling). I know it's dumb, but I still tend to watch it...
So no hard feelings Wendy? Don't wanna argue with the really nicest person on the forum (unlike Stroggy once claimed to be).

I'm glad it wasn't cesorship. So if I may I'd just like to sum up what I said:

EDIT: Oh - it's back, didn't have to write it all again.

And about being the niceses - I'm not kidding Wendy: You're the only one who gives encouraging comments to people. Sad to say others don't do more, but you really do. Tom and many others help, encourage, but more in a teasing way (I do the same). We're basically just joshing around - whereas you really give compliments and warm words to people just because you decide to. That's NICE k: You're an  really!
