This one isn't a picture made by me (though I wouldn't have anything against being as good as the one who made it ), but it's one that I like very much. Try to find out who made it, it's called "Demon, sitting". So long, and, like said in another thread, have a great new year yet! :bye:

I just did a net search and Wael is right. The painting was done by Mikhail Vrubel. I really like the creator's face...he has an authentic, non-human look about him and a sweetness - almost an innocence. I wish it wasn't a demon, though. They're definitely not our friends.

Edit:

After a second look, I can see something else in his expression - a beligerence and a craftiness. I guess that's the brilliance of the painting, you can read so many things into the creature's demeanour.

Well although it is nice, but I can't see anything in his face. Looks like a normal face to me. I don't how all these art people can talk about paintings and photos for so long. I bet you they just make it up as they go along and everybody else just agrees because they too busy staring at it to care what they saying.

EDIT If anything I see sadness. Maybe due to the fact that he is an outcast, as you said no one likes a demon. I think he just wants to fit in be one of the crowd. But they have pushed him away and he feels lonely and sad.
