How does it explain the Big Bang? Is it just coincidence that all of the galaxies are moving away from the same point and their speeds indicate that they all came from that point approximatly 10 billion years ago?

Do you believe in this teaching?

Even with god's touch, was it possible for us to spread this much in that time, from Adam and Eva? What about different races? Did god made some revision on us?

When the great flood happend?

In terms of the big bang I don't believe it, if you look at the planets could it really have come out of one big event so beautiful and such, I seriously doubt that very much so, there had to have been someone to create it. That's just how I see it.

All the galaxies are heading away from the same point in space and if you chart their speed and paths they all came from the same point AT THE SAME TIME. If this si not evidence of a big bang, then I don't know what is.

I think that humans believing some "person" had to create something is very elitist. Humans are not the absolute best things ever, and if there was a supreme being I certainly would not classifly it as human, because from what I have seen Humans are fairly stupid.

If you don't believe in big bang, then how can you believe in God anyway, who made him?

Your question on where did God come from assumes that you are thinking of the wrong God. The God of the Bible is not affected by time, space or matter. If he's affected by time, space or matter he's not God.

Time, space, and matter is what we call a continuum. Look it up. All three of them have to come into existence at the same instant. Because if there was matter but no space, where would you put it? If there was matter and space, when would you put it? You cannot have time, space, or matter independently. They have to come into existence simultaneously.

The Bible answers that in 10 words...

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. (Gen 1:1)

In the beginning (Time- past, present, future)
heaven (Space- length, width, height)
earth (Matter- solid, liquid, gas)

A trinity of trinities created instantaneously. The God that created them has to be outside of them. If He's limited by time, He's not God. The guy who created the computer that I'm typing on right now is not inside the computer changing the number's on the screen. The God that created the universe is outside of the universe.

Your question on where did God come from assumes a limited God. And therein lies your problem. The God that I worship is not limited by time, space or matter. If I could fit the infinite God into my three pound brain he would not be worth worshiping that's for sure.

I mean if your brain is just a random collection of chemicals that formed by chance over billions of years, how on earth can you trust your own reasoning processes and the thoughts that you think?

I'll cover the Big Bang (or the Big Dud actually) in my next post tomorrow morning. I'll also answer your question Anubis.

Here's my two cent, which if you add to other posts will equal about 5 cents i guess :bleh:

Belief in the big bang theory doesn't refute creationalist thought. Science describes process. Religion describes reason and purpose. Science and big bang theories are how we codify and explain a series of observable facts, or the "HOW" if you like(as sly mentioned earlier). What it doesn't explain, is "WHY?"
Why are we here? Why do we love? Basically, what is the point of our existence.
The way I see it, The further we delve into scientific theories of how the universe formed, the further we understand how God created the universe.

The point of all life is to reproduce

Logically, it cannot be possible for the earth to be only 6,000 years old. There are human records everywhere much older than that. Take China and Japan for instance. China I know has a very rich cultural history that dates back 20,000 years or more. Also, carbon dating easily proves that some man-made objects people have found are very old. One object was 1 million years old! I do not know the oldest find ever, though.

The Shroud of Turin

This shroud is a complete fake. Yesterday I saw a movie in the Discovery Channel store that said it was real :not_ok:

Humans aren't stupid, they just have no common sense.

Also there is a theory called String theory or M theory, that could explain how the big bang was created, but they are still researching it, it is a reasonably new theory.
