![]() Mayo on french fries is yummy. Not common in Norway, tried it for the first time in Spain. French Fries (aka Pommes Frites (aka Chips (aka Potato sticks (aka Pommes (aka Pomm Fritt))))) is also good with Ketchup, Senep, Salt, different types of remoulade and Pepper.
Pizza has been traced back to the Vikings, sorry Italians. Spaghetti was invented by the Chinese, sorry Italians.

![]() Sorry Tom Henrik, Kon-tiki just pointed out that the ancient Romans ate pizzas, and they certainly predate the Romans. Pay attention
However, I do not apreciate being told that the pizza was supposed to represent the placenta. I'm gonna have a hard time forgetting that. |

They were brought to Italy by Marco Polo, a 13th century Italian explorer who travelled, along with his father and uncle, 'till the Far East. Chinese "spaghetti" (Their name is wang-ton or something like that) are somewhat thinner, and maybe made with different cereals. You can eat them in every Chinese restaurant, I think. And about pizza, it most likely had "ancestors" since flat bread with something over it is not something you discover from one day to the other. However, the actual recipe for pizza, consisting in flat bread, tomato and mozzarella (the cheese with whom pizza should be made- foreign countries use similar ones) was created by one of the cooks of the court of Naples during 18th century, and called "margherita" after the queen's name (whose name was Margherita, duh). |
