![]() I find it odd when people eat canned cheese, and put it on pizza, yuck...
In Italy in Venice I ate one of the worst pizzas in my life, that doesn't have to mean anything though, since there are thousands of others in Italy...

![]() Well cat is one of the few things I haven't tried yet (unless they keep the real recepie a secret in our little chineese restourant)... and it's not on my priority list.
To answer that earlier question - Lamb doesn't taste like horse. It's much more like well done pork ribbs. Frogs don't taste like anything much. How can anyone find that a delicasy? The closest I could describe it would be like deep fried melancani (zookeeny???). Rabbit can be really good, but it's hard to prepare (have to soak it long enough), pigeon is delicious, small rodents aren't - their meat is surprisingly tough. Snake actually does taste like chicken (or maybe more like turkey), but only if fried. If cooked it tastes like boiled fish. Shark it tasty and reminds me of tuna. But there are more things to talk about (not just food)... The most uncomon thing I find about Americans is how they don't have the right perspective about the world (talking about stereotypical Americans I've met - not every individual - luckily I've met some that proved me wrong): they think something is ancient - if it was made before the time of their grandparents - so a hundred year old house is ancient - everything older then that they just can't understand (pyramids and the Buckingham palace were probably made at the same time). Also they are quite ignorant of the world - everybody outside US should either love (or hate) Americans, wnat to become an American (or want to attack them). And how dare they call those TV shows NEWS??? About Germany - the german capital wasn't named after a BEAR. Berlin is a derivation of an old Slavic word - berla. This ment a settlement with a wooden pike fence/wall (the fence/wall was called a berla). Most of the northern Germany was originally populated with Slavic tribes, before germanic tribes moved in from the north. Prussia is a great example (it was completely Slavic until conqured by the germanic knights - who became their rules slowly germanizing the people). Chineese invented many things, like: the compas, paper money (for curency), ice cream, spagetti,... Other examples will follow soon... |
