In my street in the past year, 3 people have been killed in hijackings, and another woman survived because the bullet bounced off her skull. And thats just my street.

Life is cheap in South Africa, the hijackers basically tell you to get out the car, and they shoot you (as an after-thought), get in the car and drive away.

But then our gun laws are a lot stricter than in Florida. If we were all allowed to carry a loaded gun every morning when we left the house, I bet the hijacking occurrences would decrease.
But if we did that we would go to jail…

I would rather live in Florida, than in South Africa, any day…

At least there I could have kids, here I can’t.
What kind of life would they have?

I think that a society without guns would be a wonderful thing, but unfortunately that’s not possible.
