Can u explain more about the exe or find a link *hell it took me forever just to find the game!* Downloaded it off 2 different sites and both were the same i want this game to work
I have uploaded the cracked .exe here
http://img1.imageweb.info/download.php?ref=FAfKnozoz6hQ

Simple dosbox install instructions:

Mount the Life & Death 2 install directory as a floppy drive
Code:
mount a -t floppy c:\dosgames\ld2inst
Mount your install drive
Code:
mount c c:\dosgames
Change to the mounted floppy drive and run install
Code:
a:
install
Answer yes to the question about a VGA card
Push Copy to Hard Disk
Tell it where to install to & from
Choose "Expand in EMS/XMS memory"
Choose "PC Speaker" (the soundblaster code is buggy and will cause operations to fail)
Answer yes
Press a key every time it asks for a floppy
Once the install is done, extract the crack over the top of your install

Run LD2 and begin diagnosing
Hope that helps

ld2inst is the folder where I had my installs. You should have substituted in your install folder ie d:\oldgames\life2

in underdogs site there were a one trick that worked for me..........

if you can boot your machine to dos or if you have a dos prompt program (or just you can write in dos, might work in dosbox) you go to there and write:

subst F: C:\[the place where is your install files for LD2]

the F: can be any of the letters where you can install the LD2 from like E: or C:
just you dont have any cd-drivers or hard disks or floppy drives in that 'letter'
the subst trick cheats your computer to think that you have drive E: (for example) but its actually the C:\[the place where is your install files for LD2]

then change to that drive you chose like E:

E: [enter]

E:\[write the path of your install files]

and then run install

it should install it for good without any enter hacking'n'slashing

after you have done that go back to C: and
write subst (the fake drive) /d

example: subst E: /d

that should delete the fake drive and in next boot its ok.

i'm not sure if i did it all right... so it's on to you... no blaming back...
if you don't trust yourself or your not on your computer don't try or ask for a clearer guide.

(i think i had too much those example thingys...)

but well, here ya go!

hi life and death game players. i am so stoked because i just found this game after not having played for about 13 or so years.
2 questions so far...... i have read all the chat stuff and still can't figure it out....
1) HOW DO I RETURN PHONE CALLS? I KEEP GETTING IN TROUBLE. ALT TAB I THOUGHT WAS MENTIONED BUT THAT JUST CLOSES DOWN THE GAME. WHAT CODE????
2) I FINALLY FOUND THE ANTIOBIOTIC AND AM READY FOR SURGERY. EVERY TIME I TOUCH THE SCALPEL TO THE SKIN I GET IMMEDIATELY SENT TO MED SCHOOL, BUT THE DOCTOR ONLY YELLS AT ME FOR NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS. WHY ISN'T THE SCALPLE WORKING???
please please respond asap, thanks so much

Hello Dr Pax , even though there are prob a chockfull of answers to these inquiries , let me help you the best way that I can .

1) D/l yourself a set of the copy protection codes from either this site or else from the underdogs.org . If the nurse says that this department called from Line 4 for example , then you look up the corresponding code and enter it in .

2) Which surgery are you doing ?? The appendectomy surgery requires that you inject the anti-biotic in before you incise , otherwise it's a waste of time. Here's a good way to help you out:

1) anesthesia (unless you want them to scream during the appendectomy , it is funny at times though, but I digress.), then put on your gloves before step 2

2) Antiseptic soap , spread over all over the stomach , to tell if it's done properly , the stomach should be all covered in little black dots.

3) DRAPE , take the surgical drape up to the upper left hand corner and click , that way you'll cover the patient.

4) Antibiotic , jab em one

5) Start a blood transfusion , this is esp important before you even think about slicing them because if you don't they'll go into shock pretty quick , you'll be able to tell from the rapidly dropping BP.

6) now all is said and done , start your incision from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (don't cut the drape ) , cauterize any bleeders, use the retractors , do the same for the fatty tissue layer , for the transversus musle layer , you need to cut from upper right down to lower left , then cut from upper left to lower right for the rectus abdominis layer , no need to cauterize the bleeders for muscle tissue since they lack blood vessels. Scalpel you click your mouse and hold the button , then release as soon as you are finished your cut .

Hope this helps :bye:

hey tazzy. thanks so much for writing. and such clear detailed advice.
i have done all the pre-op stuff, and the moment i touch the scalpel to the skin on the upper left corner the doctor appears but then immediately disappears. then i go to med school but they don't say what i did. so i'm wondering if there's something wrong w/ the version i'm using or something. let me know if you have any more advice.
thanks.
