![]() Are you using DosBox to play it, or start it directly in Windows?

![]() # This is the configurationfile for DOSBox 0.74. (Please use the latest version of DOSBox)
# Lines starting with a # are commentlines and are ignored by DOSBox. # They are used to (briefly) document the effect of each option. [sdl] # fullscreen: Start dosbox directly in fullscreen. It can reduce screen flickering, but it can also result in a slow DOSBox. # fullresolution: What resolution to use for fullscreen: original or fixed size (e.g. 1024x768). # Using your monitor's native resolution with aspect=true might give the best results. # If you end up with small window on a large screen, try an output different from surface. # windowresolution: Scale the window to this size IF the output device supports hardware scaling. # (output=surface does not!) # output: What video system to use for output. # Possible values: surface, overlay, opengl, openglnb, ddraw. # autolock: Mouse will automatically lock, if you click on the screen. ![]() Change autoexec part to something similar. I have the Theme direcotry in c:\dbox, change that to where yours is.
[autoexec] # Lines in this section will be run at startup. # You can put your MOUNT lines here. mount c c:\dbox\ cycles 15000 max c: cd theme park.bat

![]() This is How I have set my CPU, what's different from Default? It starts @ 3000 Cycles and With CTRL-F11 & CTRL-F12 I can increase / decrease my Cycles at a per 100 basis. So that's "etc. < 2800 < 2900 < 3000 > 3100 > 3200 > etc." This is my autoexec. Rather Simple. My Dos dir is mounted as C:\ With a reported Free amount of HDD space of 800Mbytes. (needed to make some games work) My actual DVD Drive mounted as D:\ And of course we want to go to C:\ When we start Dosbox. As you can see I use " " on all Directory Paths, even when it's not exactly needed.

![]() This is what I would recommend:
Change these core=auto cputype=auto cycles=auto cycleup=10 cycledown=20 to these core=auto (or try setting it to normal as dynamic troubles few games) cputype=386 (all other settings cause problems with some games AND are slower, hence the _slow) cycles=27000 (good default value I'm using myself, fast enough for most of the games) cycleup=10 (might want to set to 100, though not important) cycledown=20 (same) Then change these nosound=false rate=44100 blocksize=1024 prebuffer=20 to these nosound=false rate=22050 blocksize=1024 prebuffer=512 See if that helps with the game. |
